The 1960s have been labeled by some as the decade of change for women. The decade started with strict gender role definition inherited from the 1940s and 1950s, but ended with the sexual revolution. A lot of
the media representations of women in the 1960s focused on “traditional” concepts of a woman’s place in the home and society. A photographer recently toyed with some of the sexist ads of the era by flipping the roles.
